In the main sessions Swami Jaya Devi, a caring and joyous master teacher, will introduce the concept of the weekend, and guide you into the deeper dimensions of meditation. You will have the opportunity to ask Swami questions and receive accessible teachings in a friendly and nonjudgmental atmosphere.

You will come away encouraged and empowered with practical tools and tips for living your life more fearlessly and authentically, filled up as you learn from the struggles and successes of other students. Over the weekend, Swami Jaya Devi will guide you to go more deeply within, helping you connect with the deepest real of your inner heart.

The Threshold of Samadhi: Entering the Holy Stillness at Last

P6070421c2

When you long to touch into the profound experience of silence in meditation, a moment of sacred oneness opens within you. My guru Ma Jaya said, “I looked for God and I found myself.” When you cross threshold of mundane reality and enter into the sacred silence, it is you without ego, you without attachment, you without neediness, aversion or fear that you will ultimately find.

The yogic practice of samyama entwines the last three teachings of the eight-limbed path, awakening an emerging ability to enter into this sacred emptiness. The body relaxes and with the heart wide-open, the mind becomes very quiet. You learn to explore the space between the thoughts, between the breaths, and even between your lifetimes. In the deep, resounding quiet of meditation, walk into the stillness that holds every moment in time, every particle of the universe, and every truth that you have ever longed to know.

Drink as You Pour: Unleash the Creative Force Within

P3021617c-HR

The river of consciousness is constantly flowing. An abundance of energy pours into every moment that you live. Yet you must choose to live your life aware of that timeless, energetic flow. To drink as you pour is to connect to the sacred source of your tradition or simply of love. For sacred awareness is available to all of us every minute of every day. The divine essence of all that exists has a breathtaking closeness to you.

But how do you connect to that essence? How do you tap into such a profound inner aliveness that you don’t burnout or run dry? To drink as you pour, you must humbly ask the divine to flow through you. The art of meditation quiets the mind and brings you closer to the pulsation of the soul. Here, you open, you release, you receive, and you become. In the ultimate act of letting go, the current of awareness pours through, rinsing away what you no longer need and filling you so that you emerge, transformed, washed into wholeness once again.
